LUCKY 13
Everyone's pain threshold is different so it's very difficult to answer questions like this, there are definite area's that 'sting' a little more than others, but most of us here at Lucky 13 are sporting one or two of our own and can offer our own advice and experiences taking in to consideration your design.
Another option is to use numbing cream, you can buy this from us on the day of your tattoo.
This is personal taste and we recommend putting lots of thought in to what you should get and where. Once it's on the skin, it's pretty permanent! Bear in mind as well that depending on your job, age, gender and whether you have existing tattoos already we may strongly advice against a certain design or location. Remember that whilst it is your tattoo, it's our reputation and we know certain option's won't fair well in the future and look great for years to come.
This really does depend on the size and complexity of your design and how comfortable you find the whole process. Rest assured it's as important to you as it is to us to create a beautiful, long lasting master piece so you won't get a rushed job here!
It's a good idea to discuss your art work with us and pricing before you book in for your tattoo, we will be able to tell you how much we anticipate your design will cost. We strongly recommend you don't settle for a lesser design based on price, if needs be wait longer and get the tattoo you really want and will love for a lifetime.
Please remember to eat and drink before you come in to the studio. If you are opting for a big piece or are prone to becoming light headed it's worth bringing sugary snacks and drinks with you just to help your body process the procedure.
Have a think about where you are getting your new tattoo and what might be a sensible choice of outfit on the day. Feel free to bring a change of clothing if the season dictates trousers but the tattoo suggests shorts!
Yes you can but it is very unlikely. At Lucky 13 we pride ourselves in our excellent hygiene standards. All of our needles are single use and pre-sealed, once we have used them they are destroyed. Our stations are cleaned thoroughly between clients and our shop is disinfected daily.
All of the inks used here at Lucky 13 are of a high quality and follow the relevant regulations which has now become industry standard.
Tattoo inks available to buy on well know market places like eBay or Facebook may contain toxins and other harmful substances which is why we strongly recommend having your tattoo's done in a licensed studio as opposed to from your Cousin's best friend's Aunt's Uncle!
Absolutely! Lucky 13 will ask for identification if you do not look over 25 years of age, so if you are lucky enough to look young please bring along your driving license or passport as without I.D you will walk away without a tattoo.
