tattoo aftercare

1. We will wrap your tattoo up before you leave the studio. Please keep the coverings on for the first 2-6 hours unless your tattoo artist advices you otherwise. If your tattoo is covered with a second skin, we recommend that you leave this on as long as possible but if not you can remove the wrappings before bedtime. You need to do this with clean hands.

2. You can wash your tattoo thoroughly using a fragrance free soap but be sure not to scrub at it. Don't submerge your tattoo in a bath, hot tub or swimming pool but do shower and pat dry. 

3. Use lotion gently and frequently for roughly the first 2 weeks. We recommend a tattoo specific balm which is available to purchase from our studio, around 3 times per day and always with freshly washed hands.  

4. During the healing process it is normal for your tattoo to become itchy. If your tattoo scabs, do not pick at the area, instead continue to apply the balm to the tattoo.
